1st ICC India International Grains Conference in Partnership with ICRISAT

As ICC's Contribution to World Food Day- We are proud to announce the Invited Speakers for the 1st ICC India International Grains Conference in Partnership with ICRISAT.

The ICC India Conference is being held in partnership with the CGIAR International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) based in Hyderabad.

Conference Theme:
Developments in Grain Science and Technology to Ensure High Quality, Safe and Healthy Grain-based Foods

The Conference is a unique opportunity to network with decision-makers in the Indian cereals and food industry and the food cereals, food and nutrition science community.

Dear colleagues,

A three-day major international grains conference is beeing organised by under the auspices of the International Association for Cereal Science and Technology (ICC) in partnership with the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) based in Hyderabad.

This first ever ICC India Grains Conference will bring together international and local grain scientists and technologists, grain breeders, millers, bakers, cereal and grain food processors, suppliers and traders to discuss all aspects of the quality and safety and nutritional value of grain and foods made from them, with specific reference to the needs of India and the Indian sub-continent.

The conference theme is: “Developments in Grain Science and Technology to Ensure High Quality, Safe and Healthy Grain-based Foods”. 

Conference aims

  • To advance our knowledge and understanding of grain science and technology; specifically in the areas of grain and grain food quality, their nutritional and health-promoting characteristics, and their safety, for the benefit of grain producers, processors and the consumer in India and the Indian sub-continent
  • To influence global trends in grain and grain food quality, nutritional value and safety, with specific reference to the needs of India and the Indian sub-continent
  • To identify areas of need for future developments in grain science and technology
  • To provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas between all sectors of the local and international grains industry
  • To promote the aims of ICC and ICRISAT
